I'll do anything to help a shelter dog. I have had several. They are all at the Rainbow Bridge now, but I know I will see them again some day. Miss them all like it was yesterday.

I had a doxie named Heidi who was with us for almost 15 years. When she passed, I went into a major depression. Even meds didn't help. After several months of grieving, hubby said we need another dog.

After contacting a local doxie rescue, we found Chip, a 3 year old short-hair. he's been an absolute joy. He's saved me and I saved him. So, it's a perfect match!!

We found our pug, Captain, through a pug rescue society. He passed away a year ago, and I still miss that wonderful boy with all my heart. I loved him so.

If you can't adopt,perhaps you can volunteer at your local shelter.they're always looking for ppl to walk,feed,play with,and love their residents.Perhaps in doing so,you can prove to your mom that you can handle the responsibility.Good luck!
