7 years from then, the Soviet Union would pay deeply for their ignorance of the US "catastrophy." however, many of us know that 3 mile island wasnt the biggest nuclear accident to date...

its good this happened because in the long run it made nuke power operate much safer. there's been no incident since! we were worried about blow-over in south jersey when it happened but not to concerned. it was big news however...

it was global news. not as big as chernobyl but spooky. i was 17 and we did have color tv then!
