@KyNailGunMassacre LOL! Hey that's not a nice thing to say dude. To the other kid, don't give up on bass because your fingers won't reach. It takes patience. In time your fingers will go in place if you play your scales and such and just practice everyday. When I first played bass my fingers always crowded up on each other so I never played anything with a bit more speed, but after a while it just naturally came. Keep on bassin'! :)

This is a rockin video! I should be getting a bass within the next 2 weeks or so, and you can bet I'm gonna be re-watching this over and over to help me! LOL! :)

how do you know which fingers to use as you move down the neck? i find myself only using my middle finger, and it doesn't seem correct.

@StephenSchneider44 Just try to use all 4 fingers as you're moving down the neck and minimize movement as much as possible. Once you get used to using all 4 fingers it will feel more natural.

Are you supposed to use your fingertips to press the strings down or arch your fingertips over the strings to hold them down?
Scriptednow 2 years ago
You should press down on the strings with your fingertips but it's good to arch your fingers a little. It feels uncomfortable but you will get used to it.

the one finger per fret hand spacing. lol, what if your 15 years old and your hands are too small your fingers cant do that?

Just gotta stretch your fingers. Or give up on bass and learn to play regular guitar.
