  • This is actually the video for "Does anybody really know what time it is?" and "i'm a Man". ChicagoKid1969 posted the "Does anybody....." video in its entirety. The guy playing the sax is not Parazaider. I have no idea who it is.

  • No. This footage is completely out of sync and with parts of other songs, too. "Does Anybody..." is previous to this, as you can see in the barcode. Audio and video came from Texas Festival anyway. I have another copy of better quality, I'll reload this clip soon. Regarding Parazaider, original program of festival reads: "WALT PERRY ...studied with woodwind players in the Chicago Symphony and has been playing 14 years..." Is this a misspelling? Hope you understand, this is not my language.

  • Juantoletemex, thanks for posting this, simply awesome!!!! Five stars!

What a shame that video and audio where out of sync.

This is not Parazaider, isn't this?

  • Yes, the quality is poor, the guys that bootlegged this version manipulated it. Some people say that there's an entire, good quality footage in the archives of a film company. Who's playing sax? I don't know. It's not rare to see Chicago concerts with substitutes. Thanks!

  • Jimi Hendrix saw Chicago play and commented to one of the guys, "you know your guitarist is better than me." That would be Mr. Terry Kath, if you've never heard him play on one of the bands first three albums, you need to do yourself the favor. Some of the songs have incredible long jams!

  • Ten years ago there was no (FREE!) youtube, and the only way to hear live versions of songs such as this was either by shelling out for very expensive bootlegs or by being fortunate enough to be in the right place at the right time.

And here you are, in 2010 moaning that the free on-demand upload you are enjoying - which is 41 years old - doesn't sound perfect.

My, how ungrateful we quickly become!!!

  • @juantoletemex That IS Parazaider. Perry/Parazaider. It is the same person. When he started and before he grew his hair he had a moustache.

  • It's 41 years old, even decent cassette recorders didn't exist. Unless a decent reel to reel recorder was present there was no way to record! I wish it was better as well but still it's worth hearing another Terry Kath performance!

  • @pronatorgator

oooooo we got a feisty one here!

  • @guitarclaydo How's that grammar thing working out for you?

  • @pronatorgator

hmmm, I see wrote "band" instead of "bed" for whatever typo reason, but maybe if you would've taken literally 1 second to read the first four words of my comment, than YOU probably wouldn't have sent your errors out onto the internet for all eternity...

  • @guitarclaydo If you'd taken 30 seconds to fact check before sending your errors out onto the internet for all eternity, you might have learnt that Terry Kath accidentally died as a result of self-inflicted gunshot wounds in 1978.

  • none of these videos sound very good!

  • is it me or was the tape stretching?
