This is the first test of my new Insignia NS-DV111080F HD Digital camera. Sorry for the roughness, I was hanging out of the window to film this. Like anything else, I am attempting to get a feel for it as I am used to a heavier camera.

The dogs barking are annoying, sorry about that, the neighbors were antagonizing them.

  • Did you have any problems with your computer not having the right codeks? Cause I can't import them into premiere. It will say it doesn't have the codek, or somehting wasn't installed? Can you help?

  • @Perryshotter I no longer have this camera, I returned it. I didn't get a chance to test out editing in Premiere. What version of Premiere do you have? Newer versions (1.5 onward) should be able to edit the video from this camera. There are many websites that offer free codecs. I recommend searching Google.

  • @Perryshotter (I'm replying with my other account)... That is strange. Sounds like you are missing a codec like it said. There is a codec pack available for free. I can't recall the exact name but its something like K-lite codec or something. You may also want to check if Premiere Elements 4 supports the file type the camera uses.

    I hope this helps.

  • @marsam233 I have adobe premiere elements 4, and whenever I try to put the videos on there it will always say a neccessary componet may not have been installed. When I try to just play it windows media player will say encountered a problem while playing the file. But on the software it came with it plays perfectly. And that would be nice if I could just edit, but I can't cause the program doesn't really have that feature to save it on your computer.

  • do you have problems with editing?
