OH! I know what may help you with understand. Look up equivocation language, Behavioral language, abstract languagestatic evaluationand relative words also pragmatic rules. This may help open you up to a world of American music as no longer meaningless or lame. We "hide" what we want to say. Like a complicated puzzle under words that sound simple. Many foriegn people don't know this about our culture and hate our music for it,.. except for country that IS lame and means exactly what it says:P

@clamplein ^^ Das hat nichts mit meinem persönlichen Geschmack zu tun. Ehrlich gesagt hab ich keine Ahnung wie Checker klingt. ich hab noch nicht mal einen Fernseher. Meine Angaben stammen aus den zu diesem Zeitpunkt aktuellen deutschen Single-Charts. Traurig, aber wahr.

I'm quite interested in the German culture. Mind you when I went to Berlin last year I was hoping for a true insight into German culture, and while I got a look into its history, the culture was a little harder to get a grip of, largely due to the metropolitanism of Berlin, with it being the capital and all, so there were many non-Germans there. MultiSimpan, that's a very racist and ignorant view on Germans. That was like 60-70 years ago. Oh and yeah, lyrics to many pop songs are corny :(
