Caballe is above American Idol...it would be beneath her to sing for American Idol even if she was young. Opera is something American Idol will never understand because it's too high above them....I adore opera!

Simon Cowell is such a bastard. He would boo Maria Callas, who was perfection itself. Montserrat Caballe was a magnificent opera singer. "You gotta start looking like a star? " She was a star, and always looked like one. Today's stupid punks singing American Idol can't reach the operatic high notes to save their lives. Opera is real singing, pop music is not singing. It's garbage

Who is the irritating twit with the artificial sounding British (poof) accent who was commenting on her appearance? Maybe I'm wrong, but was he attempting an Oscar Wilde persona? Okay for American Idol I suppose.

This is way out of context, but seriously, where can I see the footage of the performance (1:22) of Sinatra, Ross, Pavarotti, and Caballe? How awesome could that be? It could be terrible too, but one never knows.
