  • @inkadinkadoodle No, As I said, Frank Thornton and Nicholas Smith also are alive. I didn't include Mr Spooner because I didn't consider him as main a character to be considered mentioning but he is still alive.

With the various nurses, receptionists and attendants that have appeared in the series, they didn't really have much of a role to be worth mentioning. Also, because they usually only did small parts in whatever they did, information on them is hard to come across.

  • @kinksfan1956 All in the Family was brilliant, & it credits the Brit show Til Death Do Us Part in its end credits. I'd like to see it! Fawlty Towers is fabulous! You forgive John Cleese as we forgive Carroll O' Connor! :) :) As for M*A*S*H*, it has no more inconsistencies (with cast names & other such details) than Are You Being Served, & both recycle old jokes ad nauseum, but Alan Alda's arrogance & egocentricity kept the series from shining as brilliantly as it could have. :P

  • @Brittonsp Thank you for the cast summary -- it's always good to have info all in one spot (even when it's not particularly happy info)...Do I take it, then, that Mr. Spooner is the only cast member still alive (besides, perhaps, Mr. Grace's attendants, played by Penny Irving & Vivianne Johnson)?

  • @sweetdisease i assure you, it wasn't me! i LOVE this episode -- & indeed, the whole series! :) :) i was just chuckling at the Scottish man: "And just where do you think you're going with that thing?" hahahahaaha....... & i think it's kinda cute how the young man gets shy in front of Miss Brahms about discussing the bra he wishes to buy,,, aww! :) :)

  • @TheWhipidhinio not to mention fresh fields, 2point4 children, Bread, just good friends, the liver birds, and Last of the summerwine.

  • @TheWhipidhinio

Rowan Atkinson rightly said : it is in the DNA of the british to be funny...How true. No one does comedy better than the brits!

  • @42bluey Trevor Bannister, the Guy who plays Mr Lucas. Incidentally, the only surviving members of the cast are Frank Thornton who played Captain Peacock and Nicholas Smith who played Mr Rumbold.

In Summary, Mr Lucas died April 11of a Heart Attack

Mrs Slocombe died July 09 of unspecified natural causes

Mr Humphries died of complications from Hep A he caught from food poisoning in March 07

Miss Brahms died of breast cancer in Feb 09

Mr. Grainger died 2 months after his wife in May 78

  • @Brittonsp who died??

  • @sweetdisease yeah i agree with you who would dislike this?? would have to have screws loose up top
