Animation in Palestine

"Fatenah", Palestine's first 3D animated feature film, is inspired by a true story about a Palestinian woman living in the Gaza Strip who discovers a lump in her breast.

Director, Ahmad Habash and Producer, Saed Andoni, talk about the craft of making an animated feature, challenges of filmmaking in Palestine, and their motivations in making "Fatenah".

There are actually 400 palestinian patients who are dying in great suffering because of lack of care, and proper medication, help.

"In July, 77 out of 480 essential drugs and 140 out of 700 essential medical supplies were out of stock" (IRIN)

Palestinians don't ask for charity, but it's the simple duty of Israel, as an Occupying Force, as an enemy having total control upon the lifes of Palestinians to respect the international Law (like Art 3 of the Fourth Geneva Conventions for instance)

Most people who criticize Israel all the time, live abroad and have no idea what's going on her. They can't imagine that I - a Jew - sit in a class of Jews and Arabs together and that we laugh about the same jokes during the break. Instead of being interested in this side or this part of the story, the spread there hate messages around the world on youtube.

Israel created the situation so they don't have to take Palestinian patents, as they want to kill innocent Palestinian children. Now they don't like screening of reality as it will over ride their Holocaust movies that were made to gain symphony to kill innocent Palestinians to take their land & homes.

Show it to Hamas...they'll start building hospitals, buying chemotherapy and radiotherapy equipments intead of powder and guns...By the way...before the Intifadah and the suicide attacks there were no checkpoints and hospitals in Israel were fully open...
