Dan Lynch"s, boy that brought back memories! ... We seem to be from the same generation and I recall all the places you visited, I am currently living in Florida, not in NYC anymore :( so this was a real treat, sorry it was at your expense and not so good experiences??? .... Do you keep in touch with any of those people???

@nybaby40 I do still have friends tha I drank with, but for the most part the people I met exclusively in bars are not in my life. Most of them weren't in my life the next day! It was quite a stagger down memory lane for me too. As you might guess, this is only about a third of the bars I went to. Time and interest considerations nixed many of the other ones. The bar I spent the most time at that was left on the cutting room floor was MiLady's on Prince Street. It's still there! Chumley's gone.

There used to be a bar called Bootles right up the street from Maxwell Plums on the opposite side of the street.
One of the greatest pick up joints in the city. I am sure it is gone now.
