Police Caught Driving without their headlights on.

yet another example of one law for us and another for them, this video was shot in the One Mile area at Ipswich Queensland. If you or I were to drive arround Ipswich at night without our headlights , I feel sure we would not get far without having to pay into the Queensland revenue stream. This was taken on Wednesday the 23rd of June 2010 at tem minutes past 6pm Ignore the date and time as this new camera has not yet had it's time and date set correctly.

Hah arh so thats where all this negative attitude towards police comes from....used to wear the uniform. Glad you don't anymore. :) Your allowed to have your opinion, even if it is misguided. Maybe next time you should concentrate on your own driving instead of what police are doing. For someone who used to be an officer you obviously got the boot or left in a negative frame of mind to be so anty government, police or whatever your against. Ha makes me laugh really. :)

@MrJohnny863 I am not anti Government, I have just woken up to who I am and what possition I have. A police officer swears an oath of office, as does anyone employed by the Government. In doing so they place themselves in a chain of command which takes them up through to the Commisoner and the Police minister then the atourny General, Premier, Governor, Govenor General, to the Queen. So we are the soveriegn people, which make the cop on the beat one of the lower order servants. As one of his employers and superiors in HIS chosen chain of command I earned the right to criticise his performance. the video is doing just that, he has to focus on doing the right thing and not abuse his possition by driving as he likes, knowing there is little chance of being booked, where there is every chance for us to be booke, possibly by him. this post ends the matter. Your believe in the Good cop out their to save lives and catch the robber is I am afraid 20th Century thinking, times have changed and the only time crime will be dealt with by the cop on the beat is if he has time to drop his revenue duties and catch the bag snatcher, but of course he must first weigh up if he has met his quota enough to afford the time. Having said that they are allowed to attend a serious emergency, thank God for small miricales.

Perhaps you should blame the courts more then police if you have a problem with crime being out of control as you say it is. Also if police had more staff then your phone might not be diverted. But hey I have friends at eagleby and beenleigh. I'll let them know your concerns.

Too much impotance is placed on raising revenue via any means, but once you know they are a business, then one can understand why. I would be angry if the police did not raise funds after all it is the first priority of any business! And applied for an ABN and registering themselves as QPS trading as QPS, their priorities changed, from a police officer and peace officer to a salesman for a corporation, and that is why they issue Bills of exchange which state on the piece they hand the driver (Customer Copy) sure they still perform Peace officer duties, but that is seen these days as an occupational hazard. @MrJohnny863 Firstly I don't hat Police I have in fact worn the unifom, you do too much assuming. The point was the police officer was not in an emergency situation, so the rules should apply to all in a non emergency situation. You are creating red herrings to try and take the blaim off the cop in question and place it onto the observer.

Secondly The QPS are no longer acting as Peace Officers as they were intended, but rather they since 2001 When the QPS declaired themselves a Business (Cont)

Lol mate its set in legislation. You can try and kick up a stick about it but you won't get anywhere. And what are people going to challange? The fact theres a section in the torums allowing emergency service personel to break the driving laws within reason ie no dangerous operation of a vehicle?
