Ranks with the Imperial March from Star Wars as one of the best film soundtracks ever. It's a truism that it's the totalitarian states that have the best music.

truly epic

Great movie although I remember reading that Sean Connery started out trying to speak with a Russian accent and then pretty much just said the words with his normal Scottish accent. Apparently came second in a poll of "worst on-screen accents", only being beaten by Dick Van Dyke's "cockney" accent in Mary Poppins :)

Sources are many ... use Library too..

@HK379 As you obviously have searched enough, you sure can point to a some source. I honestly believe you forgot to do that by a pure accident, resourceful and knowledgeable person as you are.

you have not searched enough . its a Russian naval march . before it was a Soviet one , the melody was used in the Imperial one . search , find out . dont lie .

@Polmir123 Ofc it is "normal" Russian. Do you think a "normal" Russian text can be written in Rusiia itself only |?
-
@HK379 It seems you "simply know", so care to point at the source ? :P (Because any available source, starting from Wiki, points back to the movie :)
Also, if you would know USSR songs, this one is a kind of inconsistent to be an original.
Sean Connerys finest film...one of the best films of all time..I have seen it hundreds of times..is always as good as the first time...
