I decided today to try rotoscoping animation instead of working with the cut-outs. This is a male walking with his back to the camera, 17 frames cycled 4 times. This guy can be adapted to be just about any of my characters.

  • I've experimented with it a bit. I did another one animated on "2"s instead of "1"s and he looks much better. I imagine if I were to extend the exposure of each frame he would slow down even more.

  • This is a well done rotoscope! The character seems to maintain consistent thickness and has natural movement. It looks like you have your frame rate set a bit high, let me guess...24fps? Good to see you're drawing some new stuff!
