Doing things with your children is a great idea. But, life is not all fun and games. Getting children in the kitchen is what life is about. Let the kids learn how to cook. Prepare them for their life as an adult.

Helping children to learn how to cook for themselves is a great idea. As a parent your number one job is to help your child know how to take care of themselves. A cold hard fact is that we will not be around for the child's entire life.

The child will have more self confidence and a better self concept of himself if he can get around in the kitchen. Most kids just know what they want in the drive through and don't have a clue in the kitchen.

Make your child a PhD. "A Pretty Helpful Dude) and you both will have fun doing a chore that no one likes to do -- fix food.
