When double amputee Nadya Vessey turned to the special effects team behind The Lord of the Rings to help her make a prosthetic, they came up with something special: a mermaid tail.
Ms Vessey, from Auckland, New Zealand, had both legs removed by the age of 16 due to a medical condition. But she is still a keen swimmer
Now in her fifties, Ms Vessey was pleasantly surprised when Weta Workshop agreed to give the mermaid tail a go, promising to make it as realistic as possible.

holy crap i wish they sold stuff like that on ebay XD but there should be a license of some sort to own one.. no offense but seeing fat people in those would be worse than seeing fat people in short shorts. Nadya's really pretty in that X3 i love mermaids
