I grew up on both sides Baptist and Pentecostal---and seen all the similarities and differences as well & appreciated what they have taught me. I've heard both sides on this ONE issue for so many years of what they believe concerning Pneumatology. It seems that careful studies like what John MacArthur does always seem to have a lot more insight than whenever I'm going to my Pentecostal church. I mean no disrespect or anything to God or my church, but I'm just calling it like it is...you feel me?

please listen. i was set in my ways and SURE speaking in tongues was of God. and it WAS. just not today. today it is a counterfit of the real thing. please don't let "feelings" and "experiences" overwrite the great teaching of the Word. I used to do the same thing but now, I see clearly. Pray and study. God bless you.

latabanza, you really should watch this from video #1. You would be hard pressed to understand this teaching without starting from the beginning. In order to really hear what he is saying, you would have to say to yourself that he may be right. I used to respond just like you until I listened. I had the tongues experience and the whole nine yards.

Who in the world would listen to a so-called teacher who doesnt even know the meaning of the gift of prophecy? What you have here is a talented teacher teaching about himself. He has carefully formed God in his own image as a rational prude with no value for the supernatural.

your both wrong..some of the clip of your video is not real speaking in tongue especially to those who roll over...and about your explanation, .i speak in tongue my self..it's true that it says that prophesying is much more important than speaking in tongue but you should read John 3:3 where Jesus said "unless a man"means every individual .there are two kind of speaking in tongue.one is evidence and one is for the edifying of the church..i hope that your followers read the bible than listen to u

@frenchis19 As a matter of fact I do read the word of God on a daily basis. What I'm referring to is how solid JM is and his teachings. And yes I have the Holy Ghost but don't role around on the floor like an idiot or babble garbage that cannot be interpreted like scripture says it's suppose to. Tongues have ceased read 1 Corinth 14

@frenchis19 only those who do not prohibit the holy ghost from having his will and john is not one of them: he is a profound liar or simply ignorant and there is not a nice way to put it: i don't go around looking for a man to follow 1john2:27 still works for me! but have to say that there are many preachers who act like they have the gifts but the gifts are WITHOUT REPENTANCE! NEVER FOLLOW A MAN BECAUSE OF THE GIFTS EITHER! FOLLOW JESUS ALONE: all gifts are still here! imitators prove it!
