A video I made because I was bored. Also the first time I tried to get a MAGMORTAR although not my first - Battle Revolution, say hi!
You will need:
-2 Nintendo DS (at least one with a GBA slot)
-Pokémon Diamond, Pearl or (I think) Platinum.
-Beaten the Elite Four and have the National Dex and have access to Route 227 / outside Stark Mountain.
-Some Pokéballs to catch some Magby with
-TOP TIP: Having a Pokémon with Frisk will tell you if the wild Magby is holding a Magamarizer.
-TOP TIP: Pearl Version is better because the chance of a wild Magby holding a Magamarizer (needed for evolution) is higher than Diamonds (by a longshot)
Step 1)
Head to Route 227 or outside Stark Mountain.
Step 2) Run in the grass until you find a wild Magby
Step 3) Catch the Magby
TOP TIP: If you are using the ability Frisk and the Magby does NOT have a Magmarizer, simply run as you need one of these to evolve.
Step 4) Continue this process until you catch a Magby that is holding a Magamarizer.
Step 5) OPTIONAL : Level up Magby so it evolves to Magmar.
Step 6) Give Magmar the Magmarizer.
Step 7) Trade Magmar to your second DS (it should evolve)
Then trade it back and there it is - your Magmortar.
More notes and info:
-You need Leafgreen in your Game boy Advance slot in your DS to find wild Magby. These Magby sometimes hold the item that Magmar needs to evolve.
-Firered will find you Elekid. You can't find Magby with Firered, you need Leafgreen.
-When you have a Magamrizer (wild Magby have these), trade a Magmar that is holding this item. it will evolve.
-You don't need to trade anyithng from your LeafGreen version. Just have it in your GBA slot, that's all. Then you can find wild Magby.
-Remember, migrating (moving Pokémon from your GBA game to your Diamond, Pearl or Platinum) is NOT trading. You can't put a Pokémon back to your GBA games either.
-This is the only way to get a Magmarizer. You can find some on Routes but once you have got all the ones of the routes, this is the only way left to get more.
-When I say "Preferably Pokémon Pearl" it means, it's best to have Pokémon or use it to get this. Why? Well, Pearl is better to get Magmarizers from wild Magby because there is a higher chance of a wild Magby holding one in Pearl than there is in Diamond. In Pearl, when you fight a wild Magby, there is a 50% (half) chance of it holding a Magamrizer. In Diamond, when you fight a wild Magby, there is only a 5% chance of it holding a Magmarizer! Pearl lets you find one faster because there is a higher chance in Pearl.
do you need leaf green?
can u catch 1 with pokemon fire red?
racushiYT 5 months ago
@racushiYT You NEED LeafGreen.
FireRed lets you catch something else (Elekid I think?)
LeafGreen is needed to be able to find wild Magby. Without LeafGreen in your GBA slot, you can't find any wild Magby.

How do u hold the camera so steady and how did u make it so u can see clearly
cconnorr5 1 year ago
@cconnorr5 I put my camera on my table, so it wouldn't move and there isn't really a way to make the camera see clear. You can make a camera have good quality by adjusting the focus and just having a good camera.

isnt there another way to evolve magmor? im not rich like u XD
slipknot0209 1 year ago
@slipknot0209 You could try it with a friend or look on the GTS for a Magmortar. If you have Pokémon Battle Revolution, you can one from there as well.
But if you wanted to actually evolve it, this is the only way. Sorry :(
P.S. I'm not rich, seriously. No rly. I'm not.
