"Forward Kind Heart" his family motto inked across his forearm. Eyes of Blue Set Against Fiery waves of Red. Fellow riders called him Gypsy, the law and military knew him as Richard Bell, but I called him Daddy. Despite his death he will not be forgotten. He was a light in a world of darkness and brought kindness everywhere he went. He is survived by his Daughter Margaret and granddaughter Arika and his daughter Katherine and his granddaughter Annabelle and his grandson Shea, born 9 months after his death. He lives on in our hearts and minds. The family planted a Granny Smith in his name, we call it the Grandpa Bell tree. Here he is him playing When The Bagpiper Plays.

  • Sounds like a practice chanter - not a set of pipes!

  • Sorry the sound recording was bad. it was taken 10 years ago on an old video camera at the highland games in Colorado. I am just grateful that I have the recording since he is no longer with us.
