We made this documentary as part of our English midterm junior year. We had to identify a social injustice and call people to action. We took a different approach from our classmates and explored society's perception of beauty and its effect on the people of that society. From statistics, to interviews, to a group discussion with teenage girls, there is no doubt that this warped perception of beauty is spreading. However, every single person has the power to decide for themselves what beauty means to them and embrace true beauty in their lives. But don't watch this because we are asking you to...watch it for yourself. Embrace true beauty and spread the love :)

  • Once again I think "America" is one of if not the most or maybe even the only country where people are obsessed with "perfection" basically this country sucks for everything other than making money. Can't wait to get outta here.

  • God forbid if celebrities gain weight or go out without make up on, they get bashed in magazines. Than as soon as they are under weight they get bashed too. Women cant win. It`s a sad world we live in.

  • Young boys and men are also being shown by the media and society that looks of girls and women matter more than their personality. That is why men are considered so shallow. I blame the media and society.

Be active. Be healthy. Be unique. Don't try to change to look like the people in the media. Don't change to impress or keep someone beside you. I lost 50 pounds and I still think that I have many, many flaws. But, I have learned to love my body for what it is.

  • I'm bawling like a little baby. This is unbelievably beautiful. Thank you. Incredible.

  • this documentary was very good! :D
