Hey EMHO3 - You got that backwards! I've seen The Geils Band 6-times ('74-'83), and they warm-up for NOBODY (including the Stones @ MSG in '82)! Peter Frampton warmed-up for Geils in '75-'76, and later added George and the Destroyers to the warm-up mix!
And that was a good question by the person from Boston about the 2010 performance; where was Stevie Jo? He is the most outgoing of them all, and I recall shouting "Chimes" to him at a San Fran performance in '82, which he acknowledged (point

@johnnydontdoit ..From what I know Stephen has retired from the music biz. I also recall from the Geils split in the 80's that he was really ticked at Peter about how things went down. I suspect that there is no love lost between Stephen and Peter. For the record I am a dire hard Geils fan since 1974 so it pains me to say this but I believe it is true.

This song is even better live, thanks!!
One of the great party tunes of all time.
Note the way they transition from a modified reggae to amplified funk.
Saw them open for Van Morrison in 1970 at Symphony Hall Boston. Stole the show.
Of course, they were the local heroes.

They take if from a reggae to an amped up funk to just jammin' .
How often do you see the keyboardist join the drummer for a drum duet???
Went to elementary and jr. high with Seth Justman - the aforementioned keyboardist.
