hey guys, just doing a little reminisching from Calgary. Missed the Fiddle Festival again this year. I swear it's the last year I'll miss it for the damn Stampede. Plan to be there next year. Hopefully get the sisters together to sing a few tunes. Hope to see you all too.
Mary (Lem and Judy's) out in Calgary.

OK glad we got the name correct! SMILE! I looked at Elmer's CD (just got it !) and I see where I went wrong. How do you work in all those triplets? whoooooeeeee! -- I can only get to about 80% that tempo so far but I'll keep trying that is a GREAT collection of fiddle tunes -- I passed a link of this video on to Tony Williams of Mandolin Central. I think it is fab. The vocals on the CD are really great too! Post a video of Donna.

The tune is called Cater MacKenzies Reel. It was wrinten by my uncle Kevin Chaisson! Better luck next time Charity!

Thanks! Hey you should check the Celtic music board of the Mandolin Cafe web site messageboard. Lots of great things being said about Elmer's music by the members. I ordered the CD -- I hope you can post more video's soon.
Hey this is great driven -- I'm going to call it Cape Breton banjo! It that song Christy's Campbell? Please if you can post a longer version. Great video! And I love to fiddle type cuts coming out on a plucked instrument -- awesome!

My brother informed me that Christy Campbell is actually not the name of the tune. The name is Carter MacKenzie Reel.
I mixed it up because it is in the set with Christy Campbell
