How do they do that so well ? It's good to see a professional cyclist who actually stops for a red light, actually obeys the law and then you get to see his skills of balancing for a long period.
It reminds me of another cyclist I saw this morning who was being harassed by a holden kingswood ? (I have the rego) QLD registration. I was sitting in Petrie Tce in the left turn behind a cyclist who was at the red traffic lights. The kingswood was in the 2nd straight ahead lane. The kingswood then screeched the tyres (very poor skid but what do you expect out of a kingswood) and then swerved at the cyclist in the other lane. I have no idea why he was so angry and why he was swerving at him. I could see trouble brewing as the cyclist was going down the hill and the kingswood was tailgating him trying to scare him. I decided to follow. The cyclist turned off in to a quiet street to get rid of the crazy kingswood and the kingswood followed. It was obvious by the driving of the kingswood that he wanted to knock the guy off his bike. I decided to follow at a safe distance for the safety of the cyclist because I could see he would be injured if there were no witnesses The kingswood then passed really closely and then pulled in front and braked and then sped off since he saw I was there and that I would be a witness. I am still at a loss of why someone would be crazy enough to try to hurt a defenseless cyclist. If that cyclist is reading this then msg me. I'm happy to tell the police about it with you.
And no I wasn't in the video car :( If I would have been I would have passed it on to the police for sure.

Maybe you want to take a look at my video doing a trackstand on flat ground.

Just click on my name or search for Trackstandable.

  • @Trackstandable Just checked out your video. Nice work. I can't do it.

    Video response approved. :D

  • Best i can do is when at a red light, slowing a good few metres away and gently edging forwards, but i'm definetly up for doing what i've just witnessed. Impressive stuff!

  • @PoliceMadAd Yeah, I never mastered it either.

  • i can do that :D

  • Its not that hard. There are a lot of kids that can do that.

  • its all about weight shifting

  • Can we just agree to call a track stand a track stand?

I balance at lights too, but I do it on two wheels and one foot.

  • @DaveBC1 Unclipping isn't the bit that's a hassle - it's clipping back in that takes a little more time. ;)

  • You can that even without a fixed gear. You just slightly throw the bike back and forth, using the brakes when needed. I do this frequently when I ride. Fell over only a couple of times, but not in recent years.

  • sure, he's professional...

  • that type of bike is a fixxed gear, im 14 i can do that too
