Astoria is in on the coast of Oregon, USA. It's gorgeous! Also where the movie Goonies was filmed, thats what a lot of this song is about.

I'm not sure that The Ataris and Blink 182 can even really be compared. Roe's lyrical capacity so-far transcends anything from Blink 182, it's almost paradoxical (although the bands both do have their parallels, too). Kris Roe always has been the most genuine, sincere lyricist, vocalist, and performer to have come out of that big pop-punk scene from the late 90's.
