Jimi never played carbon copies of his songs night after night. You can listen to 10 different performances of Hey Baby and you'll have 10 unique experiences.
There isn't a guitarist alive that can come close to creating music like this. If you think Gilbert, Vai etc can.... you just don't get it...

My favourite version of Hey Baby was from the Isle of Fehmarn show of Sept. 6, 1970 but this one is great too.

i agree the isle of Wight version is magnificent..In the set list you write: Catfish Blues/Keep On Groovin/Race With The Devil (short inst. jam), i would say it s rather a short deconstructed version of Midnight lightning!!too bad there are no other examples of this piece...
