I had two 2CV's and starting on the handle was a novelty to show your friends. When it was a cold wet morning and the battery was low would it heck as start on the handle! I loved the cars all the same.

how do you need to set-up the car? i know it has to be in neutral, hand break on, but what about the key? how should i set it?

That's incredible, whenever i try to start mine, it spits back at me, and about breaks my wrists!
