I disagree. Edward Lee Morgan was at his peak in my opinion, but left us way before his time. Thankfully, he recorded early, often, and left us with jewels like "Ceora".
I wish I could describe to anyone viewing this video what a sublime pleasure it was to play with Derrick James, Vito Speranza, Lou Scott, and Andrew Greeney! This song, Ceora, is such a beautiful tune written by Lee Morgan, a musician who died way before his prime! Andrew, it is always a pleasure to play with you because you have an absolutely uncanny ability to sense what the bass and piano players are thinking and play what needs to be played! I will play with you anytime, any place my man!
Killer groove on this one Andrew. You're feeling and sensitivity for the time brings out the best in everyone. I couldn't help but dance around and feel good. Thanks for sharing.
