i have a question, you dont have to answer it if you dont want to, but it would help.

i have combination skin and its dry around my cheeks and nose. i used a clinique foundation brush to apply it and it doesnt look very flawless. it looks a bit cakey. should i exfoliate more and use more moisturiser? or blend it with my fingers? and i bought the shade Ivory. i tried it on in the mirror and it looked liked it matched, but when i got home it was too dark :(

I have really dry skin around my cheeks and nose also and I find when I use a foundation brush to apply foundation it does the same thing. I've been using a sponge to apply my liquid foundation lately. I dampen it first and then I sort of pat and roll it on my face, if that makes since and I find that gives a really nice flawless look. I do throw away the sponge after a couple uses to avoid bacteria. Another good brush to use is a stippling brush. I hope that helped!

I have 3 Clinique foundations my favorite is the Even Better foundation (medium to full coverage). I agree this is a good foundation but I like to use it in the winter because its so much like a lotion. I also like super fit...I use that one when I want a very light weight matter finish foundation.  By the way super fit photographs really well. I have tried many many liquid foundations. But I always go back to Clinique it just works for me.
