The band of her majesty's Coldstream Guards visited Worcester on August 9th 2003 to launch the city's first annual festival. In this video they play theme music from various movies.

The temperature was around 100F and it was tough to hold the camera above my head for so long but at least I didn't have to march in one of those uniforms.

This is an updated version of a previously uploaded video. It was edited with iMovie HD which is part of the iLife suite which comes with every Mac.

  • I can't listen to "Puttin' On the Ritz" without out thinking of Young Frankentein... MUHMUHMUH MUH MUUUUH!

As a Northumbrian (and someone who failed to join the army due to medical reasons - damned smahsed knee!), the Coldstream has a special place in my heart. Seen them a few times locally and they always put on a great band.

  • @NilMortifey I know what you mean about "Puttin' On the Ritz", I love that movie.

  • i live there :)

  • Me too, well I used to live in the city and now I'm in a village just outside the city.

  • @jeremytravers1 1st march is with sword and lance"..the mach off is army of the nile"

  • Great to have the oldest continuous reg in the city that started, and ended the war that conceived the regiment :)

  • @meganalo You don't. It's a pretty miserable place in all honesty, and the people suck too.

  • Who are the morons in hi vis?

Yellow vests - beloved of little hitlers everywhere...

  • @jeremytravers1 I think it's The Standard of St George.

  • I wonder what the second march is! Has such a good sound.

  • What was the song they played on the march out?

  • Droitwich FTW
