On October 28, 1995, Anne Rice invited the fans into her world. The Annual Gathering Of The Coven of Anne Rice's Vampire Lestat Fan Club was rechristened The Memnoch Ball and was held at St. Elizabeth's Orphanage in New Orleans. Crowd estimates went as high as 6,000 and the party was featured in People Magazine.

Part I features an introductory look around New Orleans (to the tune of an unreleased Red Heaven track) and visits with the fans as they enter and explore St. Elizabeth's.

  • I would love to go to one of these~~ I wonder if she will ever do this again? The house on First street looks beautiful, I would love to see it!

I was there too. You didn't have to be a member. I found out from some locals that they kept tickets aside to sell to NOLA residents every year. Besides, there were a lot of party crashers. It was too easy sneek in. That's why it you could barely move about the building!

  • I was there too..sigh...A bygone era, a bygone city....Best event I ever went too. You had to be a member of the fan club. It was announced in one of their newsletters and we hounded the poor staff. No computers or email back then. It was phone calls and mailed letters by the small staff.

  • I was there as well. What a kick to see the city the way it was in '95! It was certainly a night like no other.

  • i was born

  • How old do you have to be to join?
