Very "old school" for my Dad, who is indeed "old school"! He did a lovely rendition of this Wednesday, with J for Jazz in Lubbenham,. I sat in on a few numbers too..... great fun.

  • Hiya. Is the longer than usual distance to the mic an experiment or......??

  • @YaniT991 An experiment, what do you think of the sound? Gain has to be up, but I think I get a fuller tone, the room is pretty dead so its OK, I cant tap my foot though, it picks it up!

  • Beautiful. Miles Davis also plays this but I think you are so much smoother. Ranjit

  • You are getting to be very good with the use of volume changes. Great to hear you again.

  • Hi, you have a very nice intonation. What is your recording set-up. Mic, Software, etc? Thanks.

  • @crazydaisydoo The sound is great. I tried to move the mic a litle more away from my horn as well, and the sound became softer. There is a difference between being a little more away and just turn down the mic level. I think you could have added a little reverb as the reverb. That's by the way one reason to be very close to the mic. The mic doesn't pic up the reverb in the room, but you can add it afterwords.

  • smoother than a Nigella Lawson M&S advert

  • do you arrange these yourself or do you just wing it and play by ear?

  • Smooth as silk, my man...Very nice!!

  • I absolutely love this song. And hearing play it makes me love it that much more. Thanks for sharing dude! From one sax guy to another

  • GREAT TONE! Sorry for yelling.

  • @crazydaisydoo Sounds good. I couldn't hear any unwanted type sounds and I think you're getting the fullness of mouth from your musical wine that you're after.
