Sure. Max "blew" it. He is bad. Thats why he is the one that is a world famous mentalist and you are not. Your videos has what? 300 views. Good for you.
If you where a professional magician you would know that everyone does good and bad shows and it is more or less impossible to do a perfect show. You sit there and say "he failed at that and that time".
Max is still one of the greatest mentalists of all time.

@rdoetjes Painful indeed! There is another observation, which I would painfully like to point out: You will notice that Max goes into a hard squint at 6:58-7:01 (eye-sight failing?) so as get his 'peek'. All the detail about the card being laminated & Max's own portrait of himself on the card etc. - all of which makes it "impossible" (as Max patently points out) to READ THROUGH THE CARD!
Maybe a bad day, but clumsy all the same, and that's not Max Maven, but it is Phil Goldstein, nonetheless.
