  • @trident1702 l couldn't agree more. To say Bert's lndian is over restored would be an understatement. lt looks like something Orange County Choppers would turn out. You just don't go that far with a classic like that. Sadly it's what Americans tend to like, flawless paint jobs, mirror finished alloy and chromium plating. This is not some prize winning entry in a bike show, this is Bert Munro's Vintage Racing lndian and that should have been taken into consideration before the rebuild. How sad !

  • Doesn't you americans understand the word Patina?

That bike looks like a new one. It's not restored, it's ruined.

  • @trident1702 I agree with you perhaps leaving the streamliner body unrestored. To know that frame is good for another 50 years makes me happy.

  • The original bike Burt had worked on most of his life is in NZ. He was rumored to have a second bike one year but it did not run the way he expected so it was left behind in the states when he returned home.

  • The Bike belongs to New Zealand!, it doesen't belong to the USA... Burt Munro Was From New Zealand. So This Bike Belongs to New Zealand only!

  • is this a replica as i have been to see the original and berts 5pound velocette which are in hammer hardware invercargill nz in there original condition, with the road going plates, and rego papers which match to frame numbers. somthing is fishy here. go kiwi inginuity cant buy it make it.

  • Bert would be pleased!

  • i just finished watching the movie... and damn i must say Burt had inspired me to NEVER GIVE UP!

  • I understood the OrigInal Burt bike is in Invercargill NZ . How many "original" bikes are there?

  • It should be on show in NZ not America it isn't from there.
