DONNA: are you gonna see james tonight?
LAURA: why are you suddenly so interested in who im gonna see at night? night time is my time.
DONNA: youre telling me. thats only because you wont let me in on any of it! youre not gonna see bobby are you?
LAURA: maybe.
DONNA: my god laura..
LAURA: well, why not?
DONNA: cuz bobbys a loser! you said so yourself. hes a goon! james is the one. he loves you with that everlasting love. true love.
LAURA: yes james is very sweet. why dont you get out your violin donna?
DONNA: sweet? god, hes gorgeous!
LAURA: yes james is very sweet, and very gorgeous.
DONNA: i wonder if mike would ever write a poem? (both laugh)
DONNA: do you think that if you were falling in space, that you would slow down after a while or go faster and faster?
LAURA: faster and faster.. and for a long time you wouldnt feel anything, and then youd burst into fire, forever. and the angels wouldnt help you, because theyve all gone away.

this clip is from the twin peaks movie "fire walk with me" from new line cinema, directed by david lynch. this scene is golden dialogue and acting between donna and laura in laura's living room, in it they ponder boys and what would happen if one was flying in space

  • This scene is fantastic. Something that I hadn't noticed in the past was "The Voice of Love" playing faintly as she shares with Donna her thoughts on being abandoned by angels. Some beautiful and subtle foreshadowing. Good job Mr. Lynch.

  • i love twin peaks and others films by David Lynch (the artist)
