Keep quiet my child
Keep quiet my baby
Be quiet, daddy will be home by dawn
Theres a star that will lead him home
The star will brighten his way home
The hills and stones are still the same my love
My life has changed, yes my life has changed
The children grow but you dont know my love
The children grew but you dont see them grow

My Nanny used to sing this to me when I was a small child. Years later, my maid sang it to my own children. I never cease to shed tears when I hear this song. Some old memories are just worth writing stories about, and some old songs will bring the memories vividly back to mind! May God bless all those Nannies out there who loved us white kids, carried us on your backs like your own, and sang these songs to us - ESPECIALLY to Creena - I have never forgotten you. (^;_^;)
