Cimitirul Vesel este un cimitir din localitatea Săpânța, județul Maramureș, faimos pentru crucile mormintelor viu colorate, picturile naive reprezentând scene din viața și ocupația persoanelor înhumate. Pe unele cruci există chiar versuri în care sunt amintite, deseori cu nuanțe umoristice, persoanele respective.

Ineditul acestui cimitir este diferențierea față de majoritatea culturilor popoarelor, care consideră moartea ca un eveniment foarte solemn. Uneori, caracterul aparte a acestui cimitir a fost pusă în legătură cu cultura dacilor, a căror filosofie era bazată pe nemurire și pe considerația că moartea era un motiv de bucurie, persoana respectivă ajungând într-o altă viață, mai bună.

Cimitirul își are originea în câteva cruci sculptate de Stan Ioan Pătraș. Astfel, în 1935, Pătraș a sculptat primul epitaf, iar din anii 1960 încoace, întreg cimitirul a fost populat cu circa 800 astfel de cruci, sculptate din lemn de stejar, devenind un muzeu în aer liber de natură unică și o atracție turistică.

Merry Cemetery is a cemetery in the city Săpânţa, county famous for tombs crosses colorful naive paintings depicting scenes from the life and occupation of the people buried there. In some crosses, there are even lyrics that are mentioned, often humorous tone, the persons concerned.

The novelty of this cemetery is differentiation from most cultures of the peoples, who consider death as a very solemn event. Sometimes the special character of this cemetery was put in touch with the culture of the Dacians, whose philosophy was based on calculation of immortality and that death was a cause for rejoicing, bringing that person in another life, better.

Cemetery has its origin in some crosses sculpted by Ioan Stan Patras. Thus, in 1935, Patras carved the first epitaph and since the 1960s, the whole cemetery was populated with about 800 such crosses, carved oak, became an outdoor museum of nature and a unique tourist attraction.

Érdekes-Tőled még ilyet nem láttam.

A Scorpions-az egyik kedvenc együttesem-bár még Gregorian feldolgozásban nem hallottam egy számukat sem. De szeretem a Gregorian zenét.
