Afetr reading King's work thoroughly I needed a change Barker provided that and more Books of Blood blew my mind, in my opinion THE horror novel of the twentieth century I have yet to read one that betters it.Clive Barker I salute you.

I love Barker's work, but I find it a bit disturbing that the one guy says he brings comfort to disturbed people ... not sure I want to be on the side of the disturbed maniacs in the world

His work is not that good. I read the Great Secret Show, it was very lame.

Clive is famously (and proudly) gay. His wiki entry says that he lives with his partner and his partner's daughter from a previous relationship. So she's more of a step-daughter than biological daughter, I think.

I thought Clive was gay. Not trying to start anything. I mean, I know very little about his personal life and have only read Books of Blood and Weaveworld, but I would never have guessed he had a daughter.
