Japan Airlines Music Video

Since the April of 2011, Japan Airlines has welcomed back the once beloved "Tsurumaru" as their new logo. They've also started re-branding airports, and most importantly, their planes. Some may say that this new Tsurumaru livery is too plain and boring. I, personally don't care about its simplicity as it has the Tsurumaru logo on the tail once again.
Japan Airlines is currently in the process of recovery from their bankrupcy which occurred back in 2010. As a symbol of the New-Born JAL, the logo was once again chosen to show that JAL will be going back to its roots in recovering from their bankrupcy.
To show my support for Japan Airlines and, in a way, advertise this new Tsurumaru logo & livery, I've put together a little music video of JAL. The song is called "Synchro Bom-Ba-Ye" from a movie "Water Boys." This song is composed by Naoki Sato, the same composer who composed "Departure" from a Japanese TV Show "Good Luck!"
The destination of this flight is Bangkok, one of the few flights out of Narita that is operated by 777-200/ER now days.

2011年4月以来、日本航空は人気を誇るかつての鶴丸ロゴを新しいロゴとして採用しました。世界中の空港を徐々にリ・ブランドしていき、特に大切な作業として、航空機に­も新しい塗装を施しました。この新しい鶴丸塗装はシンプルで貫録が無いという人も少なくもありませんが、僕は個人的にシンプルさが気にならず、鶴丸ロゴが入ってることが大­切だと思っています。
現在JALは、2010年に起きた経営破綻からの再建に取り組んでいます。新生JALのシンボルとしてこの新しくなった鶴丸ロゴが採用され、かつての日本航空の原点にもど­りながら再建を進めていこうというのがモットーです。
日本航空へのサポートと、そしてある意味では、この新鶴丸ロゴ/塗装の宣伝もかねてJALのミュージックビデオ風動画を作成しました。曲は映画ウォーターボーイズのシンク­ロBom-Ba-Yeです。この曲の作曲は、ドラマGood LuckのテーマソングのDepartureを作曲したは佐藤直樹氏です。そしてこのフライトの目的地は、現在成田から777-200/ERで飛んでいる数少ない便の一つ­のバンコクです。

この曲はＡＮＡの画像をイメージしてしまいますが、

曲との融合が見事にマッチしています。

ＪＡＬが旧ロゴに戻した意味を感じます。

企業には過去に振り返ることはご法度のはずですが、

真の企業スピリッツは鶴丸にあるんだという企業再生の

英断をこのロゴに託しているんだと思います。

二回目に見直したとき、涙が止まりませんでした。
