Frank could never at any point of his career play Black Napkins exactly like this
And this has nothing to do with Gear or Equipment that is pure Technical Skill on the Instrument
This comming from a Frank Zappa Fan
But Franks Tone and Phrasing was amazing and UNIQUE

@jumpinxjack Which FZ version? There are thousands of them, and each are different.. Additionally, there are tonai differences between Zappa with active humbucker pickups versus the thinner probably not active, Fender lipstick pickups. The FZ versions have more beef because of this. I won't bother arguing who is/was a better guitarist. Frank was. Hands down. Period.
