  • Wait, I'm not done yet. Where goes a healthy sense of humor. Wisdom?

  • A kind of Beauty? Interesting to think about.

  • What of valor dear sir, is this not an important virtue that should be included in your list? Would you not need valor to be magnanimous, tempered, or to pursue wisdom?

  • @PistonDriven Yeah I'd agree with that humour often comes from being able to look at things in a different light or in multiple ways, then expressing one of those that has joy instilled in it, e.g "well at least you didn't slip in the milk after spilling it lol" ya know what I mean?

  • Kind of looks like ADF's list of virtues.

  • great vid! Thank you.

  • I would consider "Freedom" as a value if I really understood exactly what it meant, and what it might have meant to our ancestors. And, when I speak of ancestors, I am speaking of Iron Age and prior.

90% of people had to work the land for a people to survive. I am not sure that freedom as we think of it would have made sense to them, or that they had it at all.

  • I think stronger people than you and I have suffered tyranny still. And speaking of ancestors, I'm afraid some of mine may have had serfs or been serfs themselves, even. They, at least, may have known the value of freedom. I am speaking of the Norse here, of course, and it may have been more relevant to them than to the Celts.

  • In what way do you see Freedom as being different from Strength as I defined it here?

  • Well, they had the freedom to take their freedom for granted until it was taken away from them. You know, water meant nothing too me, 'till my well went dry...

  • Hmm. Freedom as a value. I will have to think about that. Freedom, though, is a funny thing. I don't think our ancestors had the concept of personal freedom or individual liberty we do today. Rather, they thought in terms of Tribe instead of individual. Off hand, I would say that Freedom is really Strength, or a byproduct of it. It is the ability to do what you want to do.
