An eastbound BNSF manifest waits at Winona Jct because a train ahead of it had some problems. While they were waiting, this westbound BNSF train with autoracks and stack came by.
Eastbound:
BNSF 8639 (B40-8)
BNSF 4043 (C44-9W)
EMDX 9091 (SD60)
Westbound:
BNSF 1079 (C44-9W)
BNSF 4317 (C44-9W)

  • why didnt they like the unit?

  • They would have rather had the C44-9W as the lead unit. More comfy.

  • If I were an engineer I would love driving classics more than the newer ones! hopefully i'll be an BNSF engineer some day!

  • Agreed! And hopefully you will be. :)

  • sweet meet! love that B40-8

and this looks like an awesome spot

  • Yeah, the crew didn't like the B40-8, but we sure did! And yeah, it is a pretty cool spot. It was the first time I had been there.
