I m a harbinese now in beijing.I love the city .Yeah,it was in the shangrila hotel.and to the travellers: the best time to visit is in winter,and the food :Qiulin sausage and bread should not be missed.

Rice in Harbin? My experience with Dongbei restaurants is they don't even list it on the menu.
Perhaps the restaurants serve it for southern visitors?

I can tell you had a very good time in Harbin.I think there's something you cannot understand in China,but that's we called the culture difference.

Nice shooting and disgusting comments. This guy is telling a lie: "Harbin was invaded by Russians and then occupied by them till 1928"
Harbin was founded in 1898 by Russians as they had an agreement with the Chinese government. According to this agreement they built the China Eastern Railway - a shortcut to the Russian Far East across Chinese territory. They also built railway to Dalian - the port they rent from China (after the Russian-Japanese war Japan took over Dalian)...

Hey Secsh, I am very disappointed that you called me a liar. I am a simple tourist who recounted what I had heard from local guides. All I want to do is to show everyone this wonderful city and tell them how my wife and I embraced the rich Russian and Chinese culture that exists there. Perhaps what I said was inaccurate but to call me a liar is an insult.
