A new documentary featuring the work of Dr. Reuven Feuerstein.

This preview features the work of Professor Reuven Feuerstein, founder and chairman of The International Center for the Enhancement of Learning Potential (ICELP). Among Professor Feuerstein's research and development activities are studies on Holocaust survivors, new immigrant students, Down Syndrome children and young adults, brain injured individuals and children with autistic features. He is involved in ongoing development of the dynamic cognitive assessment and Instrumental Enrichment techniques for children and adults.

From 1950-55 he studied in the University of Geneva, under Andrey Rey and Jean Piaget, completing degrees in General and Clinical Psychology (1952) and obtaining a license in Psychology (1954). In 1970 Feuerstein earned his Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology at the Sorbonne. His major areas of study were developmental, clinical and cognitive psychology from a cross-cultural perspective.

In this preview, rare interview footage of Dr. Feuerstein is included; a student and parent who attend his school; an architect who suffered a major stroke; and Rabbi Raffi Feuerstein who is Deputy Chairman of the Center.

The work of the ICELP is based on Dr. Feuersteins theories of Structural Cognitive Modifiability and Mediated Learning Experience, which serve as a basis for three applied systems: the Learning Potential Assessment Device (LPAD), Instrumental Enrichment (IE) cognitive intervention program, and Shaping Modifying Environment.
