  • there is no comparison between the bruins and canadiens. the habs are hockey royalty, the greatest team in hockey, one of the great organizations in pro sports. the bruins will plummet in the second half. if by chance they make the playoffs, they will be golfing in the second round. the bruins will have success when the jacobs family sells the team, and they have owners that care about winning and not only $.

  • The Canadiens aren't going anywhere fast. There are 6 teams with a realistic shot at the Cup. They aren't even close to being one of them.

  • Dumbell Dan:

The Habs are not up and coming. They are merely a borderline playoff team and not a serious contender. As always, they get beat up when they actually have to man up and drop the gloves.

  • Draw, Nilan would have inflicted more punishment if the Zebras did not jump in.

  • Better set that eye doctor appointment pronto.

  • Pat Foley is the best! Behn Wilson landing rights at will, classic. Behn was scary. The hawks lineup with Wilson, Fraser and Secord was pretty nasty

  • @snouter ..you are clueless, Nilan was used as a punching bag for Wilson. Nilan never won a fight against anyone his size.

  • @rjst09 Nilan won plenty of fights. But he was only 6 foot 200 lbs. Behn was much bigger.

  • CLEAR WIN Wilson! strong show by him.

  • nilan got hurt there

  • @southboston2008 the habs were hockey's royalty only up until 1981. by the mid-1980s they had become just a strong defensive team, boring trap style of play and had many dirty players such as nilan, claude lemieux, chris chelios, craig ludwig, ryan walter. many play off series they played in between 1984 and 1987 hab players started a bench clearing brawl at some point. no resemblance to their dynasty years of the 1960s and 70s. closest thing to hockey royalty now is detroit.

  • I considered Nilan to be a strategic fighter. He would position himself to take the least amount of punches. He lost his share but won quite a few.

  • @lioninwinter101 that's pretty pathetic.....a bathing suit, Chris?

  • @BostonGarden no kidding.....Wilson landed about 5 or 6 to Nilan's 1 or 2.....

  • Wilson with the win

  • Wilson was lethal with those uppercuts. Pound for pund Nilan was a pretty tough dude who can rack up PIMS and score too.
