I had to reload this video due to some technical problems.
Mr.G.Prasad has sung this song melodiously as an offering to Lord Siva who is also known as Shamkara or Shankara. Mr.Prasad is also a follower of Sri Sri Ravishankar, the famous Guru of the Art of Living Foundation, who has been teaching millions of people how to find peace and solace through specific meditative and relaxation techniques.
This video presents the song with various images of Siva and tries to portray His uninversal Nature. The Gods of Hinduism are not just imaginary divinities. They are real beings who exists in the universe in various forms and keep the creative process going. They represent the highest levels of consciusness and energy.
Lord Siva is the creator God and Supreme Self. He is extolled as Brahman in several Upanishads. He is the most ancient gods of Hinduism, whose antiquity dates back to probably to the Sindu or Indus Saraswathi Civilization. Followers of Siva consider Him to be the source of all creation as Parameswara. He is known by several names one of which is Sankara or Shankara (sam + kara) meaning doer of good deeds.
This song was originally sung by S.P.Balasubramanyam for the hit movie, Shankarabharanam,, meaning the jewel of Shankara. directed by the acclaimed director K.Viswanathi.
Nice presentation but there is an evident problem with running on a k. track... charanam was out of sync with thala and the shruthi was all over the place... the notes were half and sounded very incomplete especially at "Shankaraaa..."
but amazing voice and nice rendition... editing is awesome!

Good performance. But still, can improve a lot. It sounds like a run race to me... singing so fast and missing tala and couple of mistakes in words here and there.
