  • A kindle would stand out MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH more than a book would. Not enough people know about (or use) Kindles for them to be commonplace.

  • Oh yeah you're gonna stand out in a bookstore with a book in hand! Kindle is a much better icebreaker. On a sidenote I totally want a hot Asian girl who's into Nietzsche.

  • they should make a kindle where the outside uses e-ink as well, so the cover of whichever book you're reading appears on the outside as you read it. problem solved?

  • what makes better to use for a fire starter kindle or book????THE FUCKING BOOK MUHAHAHAHAHA o. o nighty night o. o

  • This argument I can get behind BUT Kindle fans these days can get custom covers or cases for their Kindle to express (or obfuscate) their interests.

  • silly

  • @PREY4WAR I totally agree -- I shop at Green Apple regularly, and I've never met a hot Asian girl who reads Nietzsche. The hot Asian girls I bump into at Green Apple are always telling me they're into some guy named Anais Nin.

  • People have mentioned to me about getting a Kindle since I travel. I pack 2 or 3 books (one for the plane and 2 in my luggage) for the week. It's not that difficult.

  • Well, a Kindle couldn't be an icebreaker in a bookstore because you don't go to bookstores anymore since you have a Kindle. So you sit at home now - hmmm.

Of course an actual book would be more of an icebreaker in public because people can relate to someone based on what they're reading - maybe they read it too. Otherwise...okay, there are a few people around me with a Kindle.

  • This video actually raises a valid point..

  • pretty sure there are more ways to find a chick. plus you just gave a valid point to the kindle side - travel. if your gonna make these videos make the other side win for once. what if you went traveling with your book collection?
