Before the war, Warsaw's old town square was one of the most happening spots in central Europe. By 1945, nearly two-thirds of the Warsaw's pre-war population was dead and not a building was standing in the old town. Today, the thriving city of Warsaw has been painstakingly restored and is a living memorial to its two heroic uprisings during WWII. • @SSDecontrol94: I know many foreigners who like Poland very much. But - what's interesting - the're mostly people who have been to Poland at least once. They saw how many beautiful places we have, they heard about our bloody history, so they don't believe in stereotypes. :)
