  • I would say you would have a 90-95% chance of fixing it again. Two things are missing in your first attempt. The hardware we provide which will give you better clamping pressure and the overheating. Always worth a shot anyway. 3RedLightFix

  • So you tell me? What in your mind tells you that it is ok to teach a repair of a kid’s game system that is not a repair but a total Death sentence for their game system!

  • This is awesome

  • @kyleplusplus

yes you cant have the metal touch the motherboard

  • I just ordered a kit can't wait to fix my box. : )

  • do you need the nylon washers?

  • We can never guarantee anything is permanent or if your particular unit can be fixed especially since you have worked on it before. Always worth a shot though.

  • ya my xbox had the 3 red lights on and then i did the penny deal w/ the thermal compound..and i put the compound under the heat sink..and it worked fine for about 2 weeks and now im having the 3 red lights again..i took it back apart checked everything and it looks good but the red lights keep coming on as soon as i turn it on...is this kit going to just keep it cool or is it actually going to make it work?
