  • the term, Homeland implies dominion abroad...

  • Dear Vearl, I think Vidal would be offended by your inclusion of him as a member of the "greatest generation". The greatest generation is characterized by simply failing to think anything through. Vidal is definately nothing like that! Even after Vidal's illustrious career, spaning several decades, I doubt if even 5% of the willfully ignorant, who call themselves citizens, would recognize his name or understand what he has to say. As for me, I think the Hippies were the greatest!

  • The existence of the Department of 'Homeland Security' certainly raises some disturbing issues.

  • How can anyone disagree with this man? 5 stupid ignorants watched this but sadly there are more of these stupid sheep out there

  • 100 years ago the U.S still had some sort of integrity.

    Non remains now.

U.S raison d'etre, corporate power by any means necessary.

  • 2+2 isn't possible in the United States of Alzheimers!

  • Vidal is right on the money here. The standard of life and economic wellbeing will go down and is going down. The country will be completely economicall bankrupt in the very near future. The Republicans will procede to reduce the size of government by firing tens of thousands of workers, creating even more unemployed who pay no taxes, who pay no morgages, who may not even be able to pay rent.

  • @WRz101

  • @ColdChicago I don't know if they played a positive role but they were not excessive and had restraint. The Wall Streeters don't give a good goddamn and so long as the flow continues, they will be happy.

By flow, I mean the money flow.

    That's the key.

There is one absolute rule in Amercian politics and society: You don't mess with the money.

That's why Nixon was forced to resign.

Forget the Watergate break-in, Nixon was putting Corporate America to the screws demanding moneys for campaign.

  • video was made in 2007 and he uses words like "depression" and "riots" --he knows what's going on
