Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. Clean install so no comment on the upgrade. But am also going to a mac mini, has I haven't use one since OS 9.2 :)

Some of the updates will be from before it officially released. They updated some stuff between RTM and retail availability so you'll have gotten older updates then had newer stuff on top.
Oh and the guy who said it's amazing people attack Microsoft for having an unsecure OS even though they update it... they don't seem to do much do they if they keep needing more? Also, you need extra software to protect it. That treats the result not the cause.

That's because windows needs to release security updates more often to keep PCs safe. Hackers attack PCs because they're more popular and there are much more PCs in the world than Macs.
