This is a recording of the "Declaration of Principles" presented by G'Kar in Babylon 5. It speaks to my heart so deeply and says what I envision for the world. That WE ARE ONE. That each of us counts. Each of us matters.
The Universe speaks in many languages, but only one voice.
The language is not Narn, or Human, or Centauri, or Gaim or Minbari.
It speaks in the language of hope;
It speaks in the language of trust;
It speaks in the language of strength,
and the language of compassion.
It is the language of the heart and the language of the soul.
But always, it is the same voice.
It is the voice of our ancestors, speaking through us,
And the voice of our inheritors, waiting to be born.
It is the small, still voice that says: We are one.
No matter the blood; No matter the skin;
No matter the world; No matter the star;
We are one.
No matter the pain; No matter the darkness;
No matter the loss; No matter the fear;
We are one.
Here, gathered together in common cause.
We agree to recognise this singular truth, and this singular rule:
That we must be kind to one another, because each voice enriches us and ennobles us,
and each voice lost diminishes us.
We are the voice of the Universe,
the soul of creation,
the fire that will light the way to a better future.
We are one.
We must be kind to one another. So simple an idea

@smadeintheshade Thank you for the information ... so kind of you and my apologies for such a long delay in responding. I was off recovering from some very severe illnesses and am beginning to get back in the swing of life. I will find that video and watch it.
always remember...

@RomanticHeretic I wish I knew why it were so hard, I truly do and I know I make it a practice to be kind every day...my vision is that by doing so, I will help others do so too. Thank you for being one of the Kindness Tribe!

@markaitchbee Isn't that the most awesome message to listen to, really listen to? It gives me chills when I hear the original.

I agree Anlushac11 and I would sworn I was "anti SciFi" until then! I had read some stuff and had been moving more toward liking SciFi a bit at time. Bab5 was the totaly turnover for me!

One of the best SciFi shows ever made and my personal favorite. G'Kar had a lot to do with that admiration.

It is the voice of our inheritors, waiting to be born.
It is the small, still voice saying ...
We are one.
This. Always, this.

We must be kind to one another. Why do people find that so hard?

This is very interesting and thoughtful. Thanks!

It's too bad that more people can't get on-board with this message.
Check out Rabbi David Aaron's video entitled, "Rabbi David Aaron on Finding G-d" and Rabbi Dr. Abraham Twerski's videos entitled, "Rabbi Dr. Abraham Twerski On One Teaching" and "Rabbi Dr. Abraham Twerski On The Big Idea".
I know Harlan Ellison is Jewish and that he worked on Babylon 5. This notion of our "Oneness" with and within the "Infinite One" is at the core of Jewish Mysticism.
